3. Eligibility Criteria

  1. Citizenship: The Applicant must be a citizen of India. The candidate must be a domicile of West Bengal.
  2. Age- Not less than 17 years and not more than 25 years as on or before 31st December of that year of admission. There shall be a relaxation of the upper age limit by maximum 5 (five) years for SC/ST/OBC-A & B candidates.
  3. The candidate must qualify and obtain a rank in the NEET-UG conducted by NTA.
  4. The candidate must pass the Higher Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent examinations from any recognized Board/ Council with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology and English as compulsory subjects with individual pass marks (in both theory and practical wherever applicable) in all the above four subjects in regular class mode.
  5. The candidate must obtain 50 % marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology and English taken together for unreserved category and 47.5 % in case of reserved category candidates.

3. Eligibility Criteria

  1. Citizenship: The Applicant must be a citizen of India. The candidate must be a domicile of West Bengal.

  4. The candidate must pass the Higher Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent examinations with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as compulsory subjects with individual pass marks (in both theory and practical wherever applicable) in all the above four subjects in regular class mode.
  5. The candidate must obtain at least 50 % marks (40 % in case of candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PwD) in above four subjects taken together.
  6. The selection of students for admission will be done as per merit list without any Entrance Examination. The merit list will be prepared according to percentage of total marks obtained in the subjects of H.S. or it’s equivalent examinations as stated above.

3. Eligibility Criteria

  3. The candidates must qualify in the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination for Engineering/ Technology (WBJEE) conducted by WBJEEB.
  4. The candidate must pass the Higher Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent examinations with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects with individual pass marks (in both theory and practical wherever applicable) in all the above four subjects in regular class mode.
  5. The candidate must obtain at least 50 % marks (40 % in case of candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PwD) in above four subjects taken together.

3. Eligibility Criteria

  1. Citizenship: The Applicant must be a citizen of India. The candidate must be a domicile of West Bengal.
  2. Age- Not less than 17 years and not more than 32 years as on 31st December of the year of application. There shall be a relaxation of the upper age limit by maximum 3 (three) years for SC/ST/OBC-A & B candidates.
  3. The candidate must qualify and obtain a rank in the NEET-UG conducted by NTA.
  4. The candidate must pass the Higher Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent examinations with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics as compulsory subjects with individual pass marks (in both theory and practical wherever applicable) in all the above four subjects in regular class mode. Students of the Vocational stream or Open schooling are not eligible for the course.
  5. The candidate must obtain at least 45 % marks (40 % in case of candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PwD) in above four subjects taken together.
  6. The selection of students for admission will be done as per merit list without any Entrance Examination. The merit list will be prepared according to percentage of total marks obtained in the subjects of H.S. or it’s equivalent examinations as stated above.

Postgraduate Courses

Master of Veterinary Science

M.V.Sc.

Total no. of seats in Master's degree programme (M.V.Sc.) in each department in an academic year is calculated in the ratio of 1:2 (Teacher eligible to guide a student : Number of Students) and also considering the availability of infrastructural facilities in a department and to a maximum of 6 nos.

Out of these seats, reservation is followed as per State Government rules, besides 1 seat is kept reserved for ICAR for each department.

3. Eligibility Criteria

For admission in M.V.Sc. courses, the candidates are to get minimum of 6.2 Overall Grade Point Average (OGPA) for general category & 6.0 for SC & ST categories in 10 point scale in their B.V.Sc. & A.H. courses.

Besides, they are to appear the written test examination and the Interview Boards of the department for Personal Interviews for final selection.

Master of Fishery Science

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)

In Ph.D. programme in a department, total no. of seats in academic year are considered depending on the ratio of 1:1 (Teacher eligible to guide a student : Number of Students) and to a maximum of 3 in a Department.

Reservation of seats are followed as per Government rules.

3. Eligibility Criteria

For selection of the Ph.D. candidates in the three faculties, they are to acquire minimum of 6.75 Overall Grade Point Average (OGPA) in the respective Masters Degree disciplines.

Besides for selection of candidates, they are to qualify in the written examinations as well as they are to appear in the Personal Interviews for being selected in the Merit list.
