Bachelor of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. & A.H.)
Hundred (100) numbers of students. The reservations of seats SC-22%, ST-6%, OBC-A-10%, OBC-B-7%, VCI Nominee-15%, Person with Disability (PwD)-5%*, GTA- 01* seat in each course. * GTA & PwD seat @ 5% (i.e.-02) will be on horizontal basis. The selected candidate will be placed in the appropriate category i.e. General, SC, ST, OBC-A and OBC-B to which candidate belong.
Eligibility Criteria:
• Citizenship: The Applicant must be a citizen of India.
• Age- Not less than 17 years and not more than 25 years as on or before 31st December of that year of admission. There shall be a relaxation of the upper age limit by maximum 5 (five) years for SC/ST/OBC-A & B candidates.
• The candidate must qualify and obtain a rank in the NEET-UG conducted by NTA.
• The candidate must be a domicile of West Bengal.
• The candidate must pass Higher Secondary ( 10+2) Examination of the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination in science stream from any recognized Board/ Council from any institution.
• The candidate must pass the Higher Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent examinations from any recognized Board/ Council with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology and English as compulsory subjects with individual pass marks (in both theory and practical wherever applicable) in all the above four subjects in regular class mode.
• The candidate must obtain 50 % marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology and English taken together for unreserved category and 47.5 % in case of reserved category candidates.Bachelor of Fishery Sciences (B.F.Sc)
Forty Four (44) numbers of students. • The candidate must pass the Higher Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent examinations with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects with individual pass marks (in both theory and practical wherever applicable) in all the above four subjects in regular class mode.

In Ph.D programme in a department, total no. of seats in academic year are considered depending on the ratio of 1:1 (Teacher eligible to guide a student : Number of Students) and to a maximum of 3 in a Department. Reservation of seats are followed as per Government rules.
Eligibility Criteria:
For selection of the Ph.D candidates in the three faculties, they are to acquire minimum of 6.75 Overall Grade Point Average (OGPA) in the respective Masters Degree disciplines. Besides for selection of candidates, they are to qualify in the written examinations as well as they are to appear in the Personal Interviews for being selected in the Merit list.Diploma in Veterinary Pharmacy (DVP)
Thirty (30) numbers of students. The reservations of seats SC-22%, ST-6%, OBC-A-10%, OBC-B-7%, Person with Disability (PwD)-5%* * As the reservation for Person with Disability (PwD) is on horizontal basis, the selected candidate will be placed in the appropriate category i.e. General, SC, ST, OBC-A and OBC-B to which candidate belong.
Eligibility Criteria:

• Age- Not less than 17 years and not more than 32 years as on 31st December of the year of application. There shall be a relaxation of the upper age limit by maximum 3 (three) years for SC/ST/OBC-A & B candidates.
• The candidate must be a domicile of West Bengal.
• The candidate must pass Higher Secondary ( 10+2) Examination of the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination in science stream from any recognized Board/ Council from any institution.
• The candidate must pass the Higher Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent examinations with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics as compulsory subjects with individual pass marks (in both theory and practical wherever applicable) in all the above four subjects in regular class mode.
• The candidate must obtain at least 45 % marks (40 % in case of candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PwD) in above four subjects taken together.
• The selection of students for admission will be done as per merit list without any Entrance Examination. The merit list will be prepared according to percentage of total marks obtained in the subjects of H.S. or it’s equivalent examinations as stated above.
• Students of the Vocational stream or Open schooling are not eligible for the course.
